“Andrew first reached out to me as a Personal Trainer from Spartans. At that time I had recently joined the gym but needed some motivation, direction and accountability. Andrew’s contacting me was exactly what I needed to set some goals, make a start, be consistent, strengthen my body and gain a positive mindset. Andrew and I “hit it off” right from the start and have become friends through “the process”. I have been training with Andrew for 6 months now, since July 2024.
One of my goals was to run a sub 20min 5k again, something that had alluded me since Nov 2019, and being in my mid 50’s wondered if I would ever do again. I have now achieved sub 20 twice and have the confidence there will be even quicker times coming.

“After 4 decades as a public servant sitting at a desk every working day with a very sedantry lifestyle, I took the plunge about 9 months ago and started a more serious health and fitness journey with Andrew Butterfield, personal trainer extraordinaire.
Andrew’s stated mantra comes through in all his sessions. He has developed a whole-of-body program specifically tailored for me, also accounting for my age and relative lack of physical capability when I commenced.
After around sixty gym sessions, the best measure of his effectiveness is that I am now using weights that are well over double what I was doing initially. In my body, I can feel the benefits of his program. My muscles feel a lot sharper now.
